2. Who do you play here and why them in particular? I play Commander Sakra Shepard, the malleable main character from the Mass Effect series. I found myself with a head full of Shepard and apped here because that's where Tao was going with her Garrus. The premise sounded pretty cool, so, here I am. I'd do more, but I am sick as hell at the moment, and can apparently brain only enough to do this meme?
3. What was the last thing you ate? Cheese sticks? It may have been a terrible idea.
4. What are you listening to right now? My air conditioner HRRRWARRRGHing.
5. How did you get into DW RP? My game, The Last Voyages moved from LJ to DW.
5. Do you wear glasses? Contacts? Glasses. I have crap vision. 20/200 in my left eye.

8. Ever been to any foreign countries? Tell us about it. I have been to Australia, St. Maarten, and Canada once ore twice? Favorite was Australia. I loved it. Was there for three weeks and saw an Aussie Rules game in one of the VIP boxes. St. Maarten was for vacation where I got a pretty wicked sunburn on both legs despite gobs of sunscreen
9. Where were you born? Buffalo, NY.
10. What's your favorite music group (of the moment, of all time, whatever.)? I am currently most pleased with Mumford & Sons.
11. What is the one thing you cannot stand? People coming up behind me and trying to hug me.
12. Any RP pet peeves? When people plot something out that affects my character but neglect to actually tell me about it and then when I go to post, I look like a dumbass.
13. What kind of CR are you hoping for your characters here at NB?I'm not actually sure. General CR?
14. Tell us two truths and a lie. I have seen it snow in summer, I have met George Takei, and I have never had a serious illness.

2. Characters: Kougaiji: Because I think he's a very empathetic character with a lot of depth that doesn't get explored sufficiently in his own canon. Hazel: Because for some reason I can play his wheedling gay-ass really well, or so folks tell me.

5. Why DWRP? I was into LJRP for a couple years and after a full RP break around 2010-2012 a friend (Joe) invited me to this game, so here I am.

7. Last Movie Watched: American Zombie. It's hilarious, but the humor is a little understated/film-school-injoke-y, so it's not for everyone I guess.

9. Where were you born? Montana, near the US-Canadian border.
10. Favorite Music Group: Blah, there are a lot. I tend to obsess over an artist or group's discography and then file it all away and find a new thing. Right now it's Rage Against the Machine.
11. What is the one thing you cannot stand? Just one thing? That's a pleasant world to live in, to only have one thing I can't tolerate.
12. Any RP pet peeves? Powergaming. My-character-can-beat-up-your-character pissing contests.

I'm Fetchie. It's short for fetch-thranduilion, which was my first online handle and a truly stupid LOTR reference/injoke.
2. Who do you play here and why them in particular?
I play Sheshe and Mimi, aka the Black Beauty Sisters
aka "fish" because I can't type "Black Beauty Sisters" with a straight face. I play them in particular because they hit a lot of tropes I like, given that they're basically Team Rocket as lesbifinan divas.3. What was the last thing you ate?
Cocoa almonds and strawberry yogurt. I have a mild addiction to the former.
4. What are you listening to right now?
My Mermaid Melody playlist. Right now it's on the first opening.
5. How did you get into DW RP?
I discovered LJ 5 or 6 years ago, when the site was going out of mainstream vogue. At first I applied at CFUD, but my app's formatting sucked beyond mortal comprehension (I didn't even know my paragraphs wouldn't automatically double-space) so they very wisely turned me down. I had better luck at a little game that started up not long after; it only lasted a summer, but I had fun, and have been in PSLs and, more recently, proper games ever since.

Sushi! Or rolls, at least. Particularly if they involve salmon, or shrimp tempura.

I watched 9! It was very pretty, but I didn't feel like it managed to hold its own as a feature-length film. (Sorry, fans. It was GORGEOUS, though.)

Nope, just language camp. Seven weeks of no English, just German, aww yeah.

Somewhere much cloudier and colder than I am now.

Kamelot kicks some pretty serious butt. I also have recently discovered just how well Ayahi Takagaki can sing, though my Japanese-music heart belongs forever to Rica Matsumoto because of reasons.
11. What is the one thing you cannot stand?
Being misinterpreted or taken the wrong way. It makes me feel like I've failed to properly express myself.
12. Any RP pet peeves?
Mostly just in format. I'm burnt out for the moment on network-based jamjars.
13. What kind of CR are you hoping for your characters here at NB?
Anything! I'm loving everything they've got going already and am always up for having them run into new people (as long as it doesn't conflict with CR/plots already in the works). It might be fun to have just one of them meet someone at some point and develop individual CR, though - them being separated is rare, but does happen. (Mimi is free to p. much wander wherever, since Sheshe knows she'll always come back. XD)

I love romance novels, play Magic: the Gathering extremely poorly, and have a black belt in tae kwon do.

Oh I do have some but I can never think of them when prompted! Whoops. I do hate when fights/etc become more pissing contests "look at my character they're so strong" more than fights for plot and developement's sake

At some point it would be nice to have her

2. Rikku - I have been playing her since I started playing her back in college. I actually never expected to enjoy playing her and wouldn't have if my first choice at the time hadn't been taken... but she has really grown on me.
Dakki - Fuck. Who wouldn't want to play a possibly psychotic, most likely sociopathic, fox-demon with mind control powers and a body like ba-ba-boom? NGL, she's my favorite villain (who then wasn't a villain!? kind of?) of all time.
Amalthea - This was a joke on the unicorn hunt bit and also because I kept telling Sana that I should app in someone incredibly bizarre to screw with her (already screwed-up) character's head. It was going to be her or Zim, and I finally decided that such a cracky character like Zim would probably never fit. But The Last Unicorn is like. My childhood.
Kira Sakuya - Because I just think this character is at once incredibly cool and kind of sad, and he's always been my favorite since I first started reading Angel Sanctuary back in middle school. When I mentioned the desire to try playing him, Athena offered to app in his brother, and how could I pass that up?
Olivia Benson - Well, we needed more cop characters, and also I admire the hell out of this woman. I wish she was real so I could go to New York and be like 'can I have an autograph?' Seriously, wish I was so strong and capable and caring.

4. Fringe is on my tv; does that count?
5. Way back in the day I used to write fanfic. Really crappy fanfic, not worth really mentioning, but it was crossover stuff. A good friend of mine, Julie, started getting into panfandom RP on LJ and was like "you should come!" And I was like "well, idk, I'm not so sure" because I was pretty sure I would end up like her and abandoning my fics in favor of rp. But I did eventually join on, and I really haven't regretted it. RP is much more fun than writing fic alone.
5. Whoah there's two fives.
GO me, not counting.TOTALLY ON PURPOSE, TESTING YOU ALLI used to wear glasses, but back in December I got LASIK. That is either the best decision or second best decision I've made in my life; it ranks right up there with coming to Japan is my point.
6. EITHER: a) chicken and dumplings, b) coconut milk & spinach curry like I make it, c) the karubi sushi at my favorite sushi restaurant or d) my aunt's homemade seafood gumbo. ;_; oh, the foods that I miss from home..!
7. It was either Beetlejuice or The Princess Bride; i like to fall to sleep to movies I've watched a million times. If you've never watched either of these--what's wrong with you?!
8. Japan, Thailand, and Mexico. I recommend each and every one of them and if you want I can tell you all about where I went. Although Mexico, we pretty much stayed on the resort or went with the tour guides; this was several years ago and violence was bad so like. You wanted to stay places that were relatively safe. |D;
9. Midland Texas. It's not worth seeing unless you're into tumbleweed and scorpions and fireants.

Sana~ I'm a pretty big Japanese military history nerd, and back in high school I really liked reading about the Sanada family - they were master strategists who pulled off victories against impossible odds, no matter what the cost. So "Sanada" has been my nickname on history discussion boards for a looooong time.
2. Who do you play here and why them in particular?
Enokizu - because I love playing characters from ultra-obscure canons, and his grandiose personality appealed to me.
Koumyou - NB has an impressive Saiyuki cast, so I figured I'd throw my favorite character into the mix.
Bonten - because all the VR in this game made for some fun parallels to his canon, and because I love green hair.
Lau - because my RP quota of morally ambiguous Chinese people can never be too high...
3. What was the last thing you ate?
Tea. Wait, that's not a food... YES IT IS.
4. What are you listening to right now?
Nothing! I forget where I left the charger for my headphones.
5. How did you get into DW RP?
I started playing in historical games back in 2005 or so... before that, I rped on Yahoo eGroups, and in some tabletop games... yeah, I've been doing this for a while. x_x

GLASSES. I love them. I have four pairs that I wear regularly, and a few others that are just for fun. <3

CURRY. Any kind of curry - Thai, Japanese, Indian, British, Chinese, whatever. I make a pretty good taro & cream curry, if I do say so myself~ I also like halo-halo, which looks kind of like a snow cone topped with vomit.
7. What was the last movie you watched? Was it any good?
...I don't even remember. *facepalm* I don't watch a lot of movies, so it's been months. Maybe the Avengers? That was pretty fun.
8. Ever been to any foreign countries? Tell us about it.
I've been to France, Spain, England, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Canada. I'm in a band (I play clarinet), so we tour every few years. The best trip was probably to Slovenia, where by total coincidence I met someone I'd known for years on the internet. It's a beautiful country, kinda like Germany only much, much nicer. The trip to Germany was kind of sketchy, since the person making the plans didn't realize that she'd booked a hotel right in the middle of Munich's strip club/prostitution district. The shower in my room was a clear glass tube with a stripper pole. That was... awkward. Pretty sure the bed was a biohazard zone, too. Let's see, what other weird travel stories do I have... hmm... oh, when I was in Spain, the mall near our hotel was bombed by terrorists from ETA, and then they tried to attack the train I was on, but at the time this really didn't bother me at all because I was busy playing Tetris. The weirdest museum I've been to is Swarovski Crystal world - it's like a bad LSD trip inside, and it has so many lasers and mirrors that it gives people seizures and headaches. Not bad for a museum about lame figurines that little old ladies collect!

Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Born and raised there, with family 4-5 generations back in the city. John Waters movies are a disturbingly accurate portrayal of life here.
10. What's your favorite music group (of the moment, of all time, whatever.)?
Lately I've really been into Radwimps since they're popular among otaku. All-time favorites are probably Plastic Tree, Kagrra, Guniw Tools, and Dir en grey in their more prog-metal phases. As for English music... uh, I'm usually waaaaay behind on what's popular, so I depend on people who actually pay attention to send me interesting songs. Feel free to rec stuff! I'll listen to pretty much anything. I have a weird and inexplicable fondness for enka.

Ketchup. Of all the innumerable delicious sauces you can put on food, WHY WOULD YOU USE BLAND, NASTY, TOMATO-SUGAR SLURRY?????

Gojyo: because I have a soft spot for heart-of-the-team characters with terrible backstories.
Pippi: I actually play a lot of minor Saiyuki characters (Kami-sama, Zakuro, Cho Kanan), and I figured of all of them, Pippi would fit best into NB.
3. What was the last thing you ate? Reheated coffee counts as food, right?
4. What are you listening to right now? The compressor across the street. Hooray construction....Oh, and now a line of cops screaming down the freeway.
5. How did you get into DW RP? Ah ha ha. Ha. I was looking for a game that would let me play out torture and other terrible things, and I was directed to Lovesphere, which had just opened up on DW.

6. Your favorite food. I don't really have one. My default is a cheese quesadilla/burrito with chipotle Tabasco, black olives, and lots of red leaf lettuce.

8. Ever been to any foreign countries? Tell us about it. Since Canadia doesn't count, I spent a week in Costa Rica back in college. That's a beautiful country. We stayed with a friend's family in the mountains.

Peter Parker - The latest movie convinced me to give him a try, though I usually avoid comic-related characters because getting into comics looks confusing.

What kinds of volunteer work do you do? Volunteer opportunities are pretty rare out here in Japan thank goodness I have the internet to entertain me. There's this baby massage thing that I really wish I could go to but it's like... 2/3 hours away and they'd want me to commit to multiple times a week. D; Sadness.

Yep! Baby massage, for infants who live in orphanages and otherwise don't get held or touched and loved on as much. It's supposed to help them thrive/be healthier.
That's really awesome; I did some volunteer work helping the folks who did foster care for dogs down at the Petsmart way back when I was in High School. Anyone who works with animals is okay in my book!

And I'd been dying to play him in some capacity since first watching the series, it was an immediate click and I love everything about him. 5. How did you get into DW RP? I got into LJ RP first way back via my fiancee joining a memory loss game and she enabled me there to play Kurogane to her Fai when their Kuro dropped after like a week. Been hooked ever since. Migrated to DW with everyone else when that went down.

8. Ever been to any foreign countries? Tell us about it. Just Canada, which is like... two hours north. Just had cosplay/con friends up there and decided to visit. Hopefully heading to Japan for a week or so someday in the future though!

10. What's your favorite music group (of the moment, of all time, whatever.)? Of the moment? Marina and the Diamonds. Don't think I can answer the "of all time" angle, there's too many.
11. What is the one thing you cannot stand? Prejudice based hate, from the shallow kind to the seriously messed up kind. (Like from hating all manga-based anime automatically or hating all dubs to hating a person for the way they look rather than who they are.)
12. Any RP pet peeves? I have some, but I can't remember a single one! That just figures man. I think serial thread-dropping bothers me though. /flails and shrugs
13. What kind of CR are you hoping for your characters here at NB? All kinds. Shion hasn't gotten out to meet many new people yet, but as soon as he's out of the hospital, he's going to be harassing the masses, just you wait. I'm hoping to involve him in particular in the school and he's moving to L4 and visiting L6 a lot. He'll also be totally intrigued by off-worlders when he finally does meet some and finds out!
