Hey all my name's Andy! I'm bringing this goober in from that webcomic homestuck. He's best friends with one douche-bag extraordinaire Dave Strider, and a self proclaimed pranking master. He'll no doubt pull some stunt against any willing party (which is to say any hapless victim) and generally just loves to mess with people.

John'll go to incredible lengths to protect people however, even ones he doesn't know, and really is just a nice guy with terrible taste in movies. He's also incredibly gullible and accepted the offer for a job because what could possibly go wrong. Really. Not like his home world wasn't blown up in the last game he jumped into blind. Noooooo.

Hey there! I'm Spear, and I am a total newcomer! I'm bringing in Chris Yukine from Senki Zesshou Symphogear, a show about girls using the power of music to wield ancient weapons to fight monsters. And yes, it is about as ridiculous as it sounds. But Chris here is a native AU! She's a dog mutant born to some musicians in the upper layers that has since been bouncing between lower levels and upper ones and is now stuck on L2 as a stray dog. And now, I am never going to stop with the dog puns. She's hostile and - to continue with the dog puns - BARK BARK BARKs at everything. She pushes people away and has a lot of Issues but secretly just wants ~~a nice doggie bed~~ a nice home. Her character bio has more info, if you're curious!

I have finished just about everything to get this account, and Sarka's affairs in order for arrival. I even graphic-ed myself out and made a portal interface screen for Sarka, so there. Anyway. My name is Kit (or Kitah, if you prefer), and I am dragging myself in with Commander Sarka Shepard, from the very end of the Mass Effect 3 video game. If you haven't played it and you want to, she's a tired, beat up, walking space marine spoiler. She's also a Renegon, which means she won't hesitate to make some dumbass bartender drink his own poison or shoot poor Conrad Vermer in the foot because he's just that annoying and she's had a really bad day. That said, she's pretty nice and fair to most people--unless they start messing around with the people she loves, then? All bets are off. Been a bit of a road to get here and I'm glad to be flopping on this proverbial couch of awesome.

Hello everyone! Wings here, player of your Loki Laufeyson.

I'm bringing in my second character, another off-worlder alien but this one not only knows all about technology he's part technology. About half of his body was removed and replaced with cybernetics,military grade prostheses, etc. That means he's pretty super-human without actually being a mutant or alien. His character info has details of all his augmentations (there's a lot).

As far as his personality goes he's generally a good guy, but one of those good guys who will do a lot of crazy bad shit in the process of doing the right thing. He's very blunt, has hardly any sense of humor, but is sweet in his own stand-offish way. He'll be working as corporate military/security in New Babylon :3

Hello all, I'm Fetchie and I'm bringing in two new characters (a primary and a secondary) from, uh. A show about mermaids. Specifically, Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch, an animé for which all of the budget went to producing J-pop albums instead of ensuring the animation looked decent.

In any case, here are the "Black Beauty Sisters": Sister Sheshe (orange) and Sister Mimi (blue)! In canon they're actually a couple of anglerfish given human form (don't ask), but here in New Babylon they're native AU mutants, born on L1. After discovering their powers they managed to hitch a ride up to the good life as off-the-record employees of a Branch Industries VP, but that didn't work out and they're now seeking a different ticket back to the top, singing in VR gigs when not trying to get hired as mercenaries.

Not that they're that easy to get along with. Despite their humble beginnings, these girls are snobby as heck and enjoy ganging up on other people - they're very, uh. close (read: all over each other), but are usually down for destruction, capture/retrieval, scheming, and other such general villainy.

Powers-wise they can do a few things! Primarily, if they sing together in person the resulting sound induces splitting headaches, etc. in everyone who hears; for fighting they can also shove force fields at people, but this tires them out really really easily. If you really get their goat they also have a bad habit of causing all water around them to accidentally erupt into twisters, but fortunately open water sources are in short supply. (They also have various technology to assist them; it's all detailed on their character bio. I'll have their IC contact post up shortly as well.)

So yes, I'm excited! I'll have some sort of IC intro up today or tomorrow, though I'm joining the game at a bit of a dicey time: I'll be moving across the continental US in roughly a month. If things slow way down on my end, then, that's why....but I'm optimistic, since this is a slower-paced game, about being able to keep active.

Hello, New Babylon, this is Mica and I liked your game so much that I decided to app two characters in at once. This is sure to lead to the moral and structural decay of society in a slow arc over time, so buy your canteens and bomb shelters now because I forgot where this metaphor was going so I'm just going to keep rambling until I reach an acceptable length. There, that'll do it.

Anyways, I'm bringing in two characters. First, the sexy bisexual cyborg supersoldier from that one anime show about philosophy or catcher in the rye or something, Motoko Kusanagi. If you know who she is already, I award you ten science collaboration points. If not, brace yourself for her charming personality, because she is a terrible person and has no real friends for a very solid reason.

Secondly, an OC from a hilariously soft scifi universe where things are horrible and aliens are forever the bad guys and basically it's like if Halo, Star Trek and Mass Effect had a mutant baby and also if everyone had a grudgeboner and I guess there's some Enders Game, X-Men and Gundam in there somewhere, I don't know. Also! Also, sentient squids. Worldbuilding is weird.

Anyways, her name is Tollie and she was hiding under her porch because she has just met you and she loves you.

I'll be intro-ing Motoko soonish because I'm pretty comfortable playing her, but San Diego Comic-Con is looming like a hungry godzilla and nothing is ready, so I might just be a little slow on that and delaying Tollie's intro in the meantime.

I hope we can all have excellent threads and high five each other over our mutual accomplishments in the realm of roleplaying. Don't forget to be awesome.

Hello everyone :3 I'm Wings and this is Loki the God of Mischief, as I am sure you've seen all over the entire internet/tumblr/memes/dreamwidth... Loki saturation. But! Hopefully I will do him justice and we can all have some mischief together while he's in New Babylon. His powers are toned down a lot, for example he cannot teleport or use any psionics, he's a lot less strong and so forth. He can still do some fun tricks though and he will be using them.

I am taking him from the end of the new Avengers movie, but I try to keep any spoilers out of my tags or so vague it's not spoilery. Much of his personality and background are taken from the comic books that I use to fill in what happened to him in the hundreds of years prior to the movie Thor.

I'm super excited to be here, this game looks amazing /o/

And, ––they're both little buzz-lightning bugs zzaaap!! 8'] oho. Welp, one thing to note about Thor, the god of thunder, is that he is not as godly as he is use to so there might be a lot of confusion as to why he can't be his most impressive self... and please, please, keep him away from your chairs. The god ways 600+lbs :C it's nothing but tragedy.

Lightning on the other hand will still be able to retain most of her in-game abilities but she'll tire quicker than usual and Odin (her summon –– Final Fantasy games are infamous for them.. you've not heard of summons D8 ––?) will be able to be summoned however his attacks are reduced and he cannot call forth lightning within the domes, same as Thor :'c god of pleetz.

Hi there! This is Kris, and I'm totally new here. I'm pretty sure I'm new to most of you, too. I'm bringing in this demon-blood-addicted loser, Sam Winchester, from the CW show Supernatural you've heard so much about. He's half of the demon-hunting Winchester brothers, the other of whom should be toddling along shortly. (For added confusion, his player's name is Kristi. We are different people.) However, even though they come as a duo, complete with ridiculous levels of co-dependency, that doesn't mean their players are interested in an insular experience. At all. This game looks amazing and I'm looking forward to diving in--once I figure out all the ins and outs and know what I'm getting into! (Hint: I probably will dive in before that point.)

In short, she's the daughter of a politician and a lawyer, who lives a relatively easy life and has a bit of a rebellious streak as a human/mutant rights activist. She's also got bigger hair than any one person has any right to. You can read more about all that here, though I'm still filling in some of her details.

'sup folks, heard you guys were looking for some unicorns?

So but yeah, this kind of started out as a joke but it's becoming a Real Thing. This is Gil, bringing in my third character, Amalthea of The Last Unicorn. For those of you who might not be familiar with the most beloved movie of my childhood, Amalthea actually is a unicorn. She just so happens to be trapped in a human body.

Some points of interest:
1) She's got no neural jack (and is not tech savvy); this means AR and VR simply don't register whatsoever for her.
2) She's still got a grip on her magic for now; that will probably gradually fade as she becomes more human (in spirit).
3) Currently she's something of a "guest"/specimen/prisoner up in the higher levels for Branch right now (I'm still working out the specifics here with modly folks ) but she would like out. Anyone interested in helping my orchestrate a break-out? And if no one can or will immediately, no pressure, but--anyone interested in logging with her/building some CR?

Mugen's from Samurai Champloo and moves pretty exclusively between L1-L4. He's cocky and rude, and if you need to hire some muscle or a blade, he's your man (for the right price). Of course, if he needs the cash, basically any job will do (within reason), so he's probably met a few of the runners out there before~ He's always up for a fight too, and has absolutely no problem with killing if the situation calls for it. Grievous bodily injury is also on the table.

Also, if your character was ever involved in gangs on L2/3, they may have had a brush with Mugen in the past. Unsavory elements abound!

In the present, I'd love some mafia CR if anyone's interested~

Generally, Mugen's a jerk with a potential heart of gold that you'd have to do some serious spelunking to locate. And he's up for a little spelunking if you are ~_^ (he has no idea what spelunking actually is but it sounds dirty).
