So, I've mentioned on plurk and in the mod post, but due to school/necessity to get a job, and kids, I need to make some RP funtime cuts across the board. Sooo... Raimei is going the same way as her brother and ET Six is going home.

Souji is free to keep the apartment Six is sharing with him - and that could open up CR for Souji and Zelman since Zelman actually owns that apartment.

For In game plotting, we're going to say Zelman sent Raikou to New Alexandria to set up a new Coven cell there, and since he'll be gone a looooong time, Raimei is going with him. I think that's it for now. Oh! I'm working on Hakkai's death post now so I should have that up by tomorrow - I just need to find out what game day the Saiyuki cast wants him to die...

Hey all my name's Andy! I'm bringing this goober in from that webcomic homestuck. He's best friends with one douche-bag extraordinaire Dave Strider, and a self proclaimed pranking master. He'll no doubt pull some stunt against any willing party (which is to say any hapless victim) and generally just loves to mess with people.

John'll go to incredible lengths to protect people however, even ones he doesn't know, and really is just a nice guy with terrible taste in movies. He's also incredibly gullible and accepted the offer for a job because what could possibly go wrong. Really. Not like his home world wasn't blown up in the last game he jumped into blind. Noooooo.

Anyway, I've recently been really burnt out on this character and with some of my major CR/plot relevant CR dropping, my motivation has reached a new low, so there really is no point to me squatting--especially since I'm going to be very busy come october and I definitely won't have the time to get invested into the plots I had planned for this place. I really do love this game and all the work that has gone into it--it's very unique and I've been so excited to play here. I've also met some amazing people here I would really like to stay in touch with!

So yeah, bowing out for now and taking Big Boss with me--Branch probably finally got him. If someone needs me to wrap up/handwave some CR, just shoot me a PM or poke me on Plurk!

Look, it's not me, it's you. Oh, I mean, the other way abouts!

It's time for me to take my exit cue folks. I'm going to thread out Hakkai's character exit since I've got some specific ideas, Icarus will disappear to Laure's game, and Kaoru and Hikaru will be leaving NB in order to live out more private lives.

This ends the school plot, from Hakkai's direction, but I'll leave all the info up and if anyone would like to take it over, you're certainly welcome. The same applies to Kaoru's hostworld.

To everyone I'm letting down, much apologies. All the new kids I won't get to know, apologies there too. If you'd like to continue any storylines with me, I'm always down for private RP/using documents.

GG here. It's been a real blast, getting this game off the ground and seeing it flourish. This is the first game I've ever modded, and I'm so glad that all the hard work Piipa, Athena, and myself put into getting this game up and running paid off so beautifully.

However, I feel that the time has come for me to move on. I'm stepping down as a mod and dropping Sasori and Shamal, and with that will be leaving the game entirely.

New Babylon has the best mod team and group of players anyone could hope for, and I'm glad I've had the opportunity to play with and get to know you all, even if I haven't always been the most visible as a player. I'm confident that the game is in good hands and that it has a bright future.

It's been fun, hasn't it? I love this game like a baby and I hope it'll go on strong until all of you are dead tired of it. It's time for Piipa to ride off to the sunset. I'll be stepping down as a mod as well as giving up all my characters. I hope you'll find new ones for them, and I'm pretty sure a few of them are very replaceable. ;D

We started working with this project already more than a year ago. Digging through miles and miles of old notes and scribbles of a cyberpunk city that has been ghosting on and off in my original fiction for over ten years. I'm pretty damn happy about how it turned out for this game. And it wouldn't have been much anything without all of you. So thank you! I'm so grateful to see it brought to life like this. :3

But it's time to go when it's time to go, right? I'd love to play privately or in other games in the future, I'm sure we'll see each other again! Please give your support to the remaining modly types and hold down the forth.

Sai here bringing in my second character, Peter Parker aka Spider-Man based off The Amazing Spider-Man movie as an AU native. He goes to the Midtown High School on L6 and swings through the streets of L3 and L6 as Spider-Man. More about him is listed in his journal.

I wanted to go ahead and make official my follow-through on bringing in one Olivia Benson to New Babylon. She's my fifth (and probably last; I definitely can't handle more unless I dropped somebody) character. A few fun facts? She's a detective, has been a member of NBPD for 14 years now, and has recently started working in the newly created Off Worlder Affairs Division. (So all you aliens better behave yo'selves :P)

Hi there, my name's Alex and I'm bringing in Luxord from Kingdom Hearts.

I imagine a lot of people are probably at least passingly familiar with canon in general, if not Luxord in specific, but I've got some bio information up, though I'm still working on getting my page all pretty.

I tend to be a little private about my "meatspace" life and I try to keep my plurk timeline pretty clean, so it's nothing personal if I don't add you right away, or w/e. I'm VERY open to storylines and plotting and chatting about things that aren't my personal life, though, so please don't take it as me being standoffish or anything. :D

I'm really excited about getting to play here and meeting all of you!

Hey there! I'm Spear, and I am a total newcomer! I'm bringing in Chris Yukine from Senki Zesshou Symphogear, a show about girls using the power of music to wield ancient weapons to fight monsters. And yes, it is about as ridiculous as it sounds. But Chris here is a native AU! She's a dog mutant born to some musicians in the upper layers that has since been bouncing between lower levels and upper ones and is now stuck on L2 as a stray dog. And now, I am never going to stop with the dog puns. She's hostile and - to continue with the dog puns - BARK BARK BARKs at everything. She pushes people away and has a lot of Issues but secretly just wants ~~a nice doggie bed~~ a nice home. Her character bio has more info, if you're curious!

I have finished just about everything to get this account, and Sarka's affairs in order for arrival. I even graphic-ed myself out and made a portal interface screen for Sarka, so there. Anyway. My name is Kit (or Kitah, if you prefer), and I am dragging myself in with Commander Sarka Shepard, from the very end of the Mass Effect 3 video game. If you haven't played it and you want to, she's a tired, beat up, walking space marine spoiler. She's also a Renegon, which means she won't hesitate to make some dumbass bartender drink his own poison or shoot poor Conrad Vermer in the foot because he's just that annoying and she's had a really bad day. That said, she's pretty nice and fair to most people--unless they start messing around with the people she loves, then? All bets are off. Been a bit of a road to get here and I'm glad to be flopping on this proverbial couch of awesome.

Hello everyone! :D

I'm Galatea and I was just accepted into the RP to play the character Tsukyono Omi from Weiss Kreuz! He will be a native character, so I'm really excited to create this interesting angle for him.

As a quick introduction, he was born into a wealthy politician's family as Mamoru Takatori, where he is the youngest son. He lives in high society and generally has little expected from him, being far down the line of any succession. He works as a journalist at a gossip blog called KISSES, where he finds dirt on important people and spills it to the entire city if they can't pay to shut him up. He also goes to Arcadia University, and while he's diligent in his work, will more often than not be at parties and socials of much pomp.

But this isn't all there is to him; he currently acts as a solo information vigilante called OMI, where they use their contacts and hacking skills to dig up corruption and expose it to the public (OMI also presents as gender neutral/ambiguous). They intend to cause chaos for the upper class and imagines a more equal society. It's possible they plan to somehow become mayor of New Babylon.

While many people may know of Mamoru, he tends to only stay on levels 8 and 9, going down to 7 for business if needed. OMI sits on the outskirts of hacker culture and sometimes socializes to get information, but overall keeps low-key. Even though, I hope there's ample opportunities for you all to interact with them!

That about sums it up, here's to a great story! :D

Announcing a few days early that I'll be going on hiatus for the majority of the month. I have a research deadline fast approaching and will be concentrating on that. AU!Matt will still be around and tagging but likely slower and more sporadically.

Hey guys! I have… lots of personal announcements to make, lol. I considered sorting them all out into separate posts by character, but, ugh, don't want to flood the comm. I'm going to try to make this as brief as possible.

Intro-ing a new character here this month! His name is Kira Sakuya (journal is [Bad username or unknown identity: neverbeentogeorgia),] I think. I hope. In his original canon, he's the reincarnation of Lucifer, and I've done my best to make some interesting parallels. If you have a chance to read his profile, great, if not, what you need to know is that Kira looks suspiciously like a famous guy who is supposed to be dead… because he is him, more or less, sans memories. Fun tiemz! He's a punk that likes to flirt with the ladies, has a thing for balking the authorities, and I'm looking for CR for him. I want to post him in the CR meme, but right now I just don't have time. So if you'd like to have some built in CR with him or plot something in the immediate future with him, please ping me. I'm going to try to have an open post for him for Day 25 or 26 soon-ish.

Amalthea's going to be transforming on Day 26 back into a unicorn! Yaaay. I'm going to create an open log on Sunday night or Monday morning and anyone will be welcome to participate. I'm thinking that I might create two threads; one for an actual public transformation sequence, and one for the chase. This will occur on L4, but it can only occur on L4 due to limitations of not being able to go up or down the spiral on-hoof. If you would still like for your character to be aware of this/able to watch/interact, I'm going to try to do some kind of network news /video thread. There are still a few details I need to iron out in private with the other mods about what will happen, but basically… come try to catch the tail of the unicorn.

I know that this month I have been a little infrequent. By a lot. I apologize. I'm still trying to adjust to the added responsibilities of being a mod, and also side projects/side RP I have become committed to, and maintaining a real social life, as well as miscellaneous personal projects. I want to apologize to anyone and everyone that I may have slowed down; I know that I have a ton of outstanding tags sitting in my inbox just waiting for me, but unfortunately some other things have had to take priority. I'm going to be doing my best to refocus my efforts on being more active especially on the network community with my characters. So please have patience with me.

That said, I need to announce a mini-hiatus from next week starting Thursday and not ending until Sunday (August 9-12). I'm going to be taking a mini vacation to Tokyo, and I. Really need it and will be too busy doing all the things I can possibly cram in in four days to RP. I will make it official over in the Hiatus/Drop post later today; I've just been very busy trying to do all this other stuff.

To make up for that, I come bearing gifts. As I mentioned before, I've been a little distracted with personal projects lately. One of them has been making up some coding stuff for CR charts. You might have noticed all of my characters are using a special code for their AC check; that's part of it. The whole thing is over here. To use it, you just need to copy and paste the code over to your journal. Please be sure that the main width of your entry area for your journal is equal to or exceeds 550 pixels or so. Additionally, be sure to turn off Automatic Formatting or you will get some strange stuff. Your display will look a little different than what it looks like on my musebox because there are some font setting overrides hardcoded into that layout. You may feel free to mess with the colors, font settings, size, icons, whathaveyou if you choose to use it; all I ask is that you keep the credit in from the bottom footer because there was a lot of energy/effort expended trying to get this code right (and, hah, it still looks a little wonky sometimes, but whatever) and Sana especially deserves a lot of credit for all her help because otherwise there would probably be no code and I would have chucked my computer out the window.
